The mounting of the units is generally in a galvanised (mild) steel pipe framework with zinc-coated cast GRV-connectors. The fittings for e.g. apparatus, vessels and accessories are also zinc-coated. This provides optimally protection from chemical corrosion. Frame pipes in stainless steel are also available. In this case the GRV-connectors will be coated additionally.
